Light in the Dark

Contemplative music for the darkest season; and celebrations of returning light, love & hope, performed by Melos Choir & Period Instruments, with guest santur virtuoso, Sadaf Amini; David Roth, baritone; and members of Kingston's Navaa Ensemble. Includes Advent chants; traditional Arabic and Hebrew songs of the Levant; Persian love songs for Yalda; Early Christmas music from England to Armenia by Gibbons, Lassus, Schein, Bach and Arakelian.
